Spiders partner with Oakland Roots for 2023 Practice Facilities

OAKLAND, Calif. (December 9, 2022) - The Oakland Spiders of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) will train and practice at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Championship Field beginning in 2023. Located in Alameda, Calif., the state-of-the-art facility is also home to the Oakland Roots of the United Soccer League (USL), Oakland Soul of the USLW, and Project 51O of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL).

“We're grateful to the Roots and UCSF for the opportunity to train at this world-class venue,” said Spiders Team President Jackson Stearns. “The facility’s amenities and access are on par with the top sports organizations in the world, and we look forward to supporting and celebrating the Oakland area in 2023 and beyond.”

The Oakland Roots Sports Club seeks to harness the magic of Oakland and the power of sport as a force for social good. Starting play in 2019, the Oakland Roots play regular season games from March through October at Laney College in Oakland. For more information, visit oaklandrootssc.com.
